The vertical scroll at the bottom left of the comic reads... something... in Japanese. Or Chinese. Improperly translated, it reads "Secret Technique: Million Mile (an hour) Money," representing Kavian's expert ability to throw coins to stun people. The "Secret Technique" bit is taken from the character Motoko Aoyama from the anime Love Hina. Motoko is a swordswoman who regularly uses "Secret Technique: Air Splitting Sword" to punish the misunderstood perverted landlord, Keitaro Urashima.
