Too Obscure For You?

The first part of Kavian’s speech comes from the show “Korgoth of Barbaria” on Adult Swim. I remember the first time I saw that show I was actually sickened by the amount of blood and guts. But the writing is great, the setting is ripe for parody, and there are some great lines. Great stuff, but definitely not for anyone under fifteen. I wish they’d get on with making more than just the pilot episode.

The second half of Kavian’s speech (as well as the punchline below) is from Austin Powers (yes, again). Maybe it’s funnier when spoken by an Irish character, but I get a chuckle every time I hear someone bemoaning their lucky charms.
