Kavian’s story about the orphanage is a knock to the most embarassing Final Fantasy game since Mystic Quest, Final Fantasy VIII. In addition to that is the Guardian Forces causing memory loss, the romance between Rinoa and Asshole (uh, I mean Squall), and the time compression nonsense. Sometimes it felt like the writers were drunk when they were writing that one.
