Too Obscure For You?

Who is Bayle Domon? Why, he’s the salty sea captain from the fantastic fantasy series The Wheel of Time. Domon is from the country of Illian, where the only show on TV must be Popeye, translated from English to Martian then back again. I’m a huge fan of the Wheel of Time series, even though the latest book was like a 500-page tea party. The most incredible event ever happened in the previous book, and we don’t get to spend any time with the people who were really affected by it. I’m mad, but my pre-order for Book Eleven, “Why isn’t Rand Insane Yet?” has already frothingly been placed. And those of you who read the Wheel of Time may know that the title of this comic is one of Domon’s salty catch phrases.

In other obscurities, Kavian’s comment about doughnuts is just a tribute to Penny Arcade, my absolute favorite colored comic. The one about the iPod had me in stitches. And how about “Splinter Cell: Puppy Helmet!?”
